India is land of diverse interests – be it religons, landscapes, climate. A person coming to India amy find the climate conditions quite extreme with temperatures rising to 50 deg and also as low as minus 50 deg (siachen glacier – highest battle ground)

So one wonders when would be the best time to visit India. Normally it depends on the places one wishes to visit, cos the north and the east are quite chilly during winter, but still ideally the best time would be October-Novemeber, so one can avoid the scorching heat whcih reaches to upto 50 deg in many places.. Among the places to visit, zone wise down – westernzone, Goa is best known for its sandy beaches. Rajasthan has the royal background with amny of its palaces converted to hotels, one can definitely feel the era of Kings/Queens. A visit to Rajasthan is incomplete without the luxury train ride – Palace on Wheels. Moving down south, the backwaters of Kerala are quite famous, where one can relax with any of the popular ayurvedic and healing body massages. East India is well known for its beauty and the tea gardens. Last but not the least North has the Himalayas, Kashmir, Manali, Shimla, lots of places to visit.
A suggestion to all desiring to visit India, pleas ensure you have sufficient time to explore. A months time would be ideal, though still not suffice. Instead of cluttering multiple things in one visit, its always better to cover India on a zonal basis.
Few sites to help plan your India visit

Well…..nice to read the Incredible india. But are we fair enough with our guests? I mean they are constanly being victimised by greedy hawkers, drivers and even eve teasers. The security is yet anothor concern. Can we please do something to uplift the brand india image. I feel totally ashamed when recently, a foreign ambassy suggested its citizens, not to visit India, teh incredible.
